TEEN ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Teen Advisory Council (TAC) wants to stress the importance of getting involved! TAC encourages teens to enrich their lives by volunteering their time. Volunteering is a great way to make new friends, give back to your community and help others.

TAC is a diverse group of young people 7th – 12th grade, who provide activities for the youth in the community. Meetings are held the 4th Monday of every month, 6:00 – 7:00pm. Throughout the year, the Teen Advisory Council works diligently on planning, organizing and implementing activities in the Turlock Community.

“TAC is a great opportunity for Turlock’s community of young people to get involved in their city, to influence city leadership regarding issues important to junior high and high school students and to grow as individuals. Almost ten years ago when TAC was first created, we had no idea what impact the group would have on Turlock or the impact it would have on its members. Through TAC, I found a receptive ear at City Hall, solid friendships among TAC members, and—most importantly—a camaraderie among city officials, staff, and young citizens as we all attempted to make Turlock a better place for its youth.

TAC is an important part of Turlock’s commitment to its youth and I enjoy hearing about its progress. TAC is something I am very proud to have been a part of and I hope more members of our youth have a similar experience.”

Gary, Founding TAC member
